Position Overview

As a Senior Controls Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of systems that monitor and control various processes and machinery. Your expertise will be crucial in sectors such as industrial automation, water management, energy systems, and transportation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Engineering
- Develop comprehensive design documents and lead large-scale program designs.
- Create and implement System Platform architectures, templates, and wizarding features.
- Conduct requirements analysis and prepare functional documentation, including sequence of operations and subsystem designs.

Programming and Configuration
- Oversee programming and configuration efforts for complex automation and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, RTUs, and HMI systems.

Testing and Commissioning
- Author detailed test plans and lead testing activities for major projects.
- Develop and execute commissioning procedures, ensuring successful deployment of systems.

Maintenance and Support
- Provide troubleshooting support for existing and legacy systems during service calls.

Project Management
- Lead proposal efforts, including research, cost estimates, and documentation for medium to large projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and conduct necessary site evaluations.

Team Leadership
- Assign technical tasks to engineering and administrative staff, fostering collaboration among team members.

Qualifications

- 3-5 years of experience with a Master’s degree in engineering or 5-7 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Familiarity with EPMS and HVAC Control applications is preferred.
- Required certifications include Niagara and/or DDC platform, with additional SCADA platform certifications being advantageous.

Skills and Abilities

- Proficient in reading electrical schematics and control plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Comfortable working with various software tools, including CAD/CAE and standard office applications.
