Job Overview

The Financial Risk Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations related to the corporate insurance program and other associated financial tasks. This role includes the management of budgets, accounting functions, and financial analyses for the Risk Management Team, specifically within the RHD Fleet Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure timely updates for various departments.
  • Generate financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, including detailed reviews of program and departmental budgets, as well as GL Reconciliation and Wire Transfer/Bank Account Reconciliation.
  • Examine invoice payments for accuracy in coding and facilitate ACH and/or Wire Requests.
  • Conduct Reserve Analysis and provide quarterly updates on Insurance Programs.
  • Analyze coverage allocations against budget expectations and identify any variances.
  • Collaborate with programs on the monthly billing cycle and prepare necessary journal entries based on updates.
  • Support the renewal process, develop internal insurance rates, and assist with annual audits, including Premium Audits.
  • Investigate Cash Receipts, GL Transactions, and Journal Entries, making reclassifications as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, budget planning, or financial analysis is preferred.
  • Proficient accounting skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills in finance are required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of charts, graphs, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse workgroups is advantageous.
