Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Operations Manager at Fortis Fire & Safety Inc. is tasked with overseeing the operational performance of the Sprinkler and Fire Alarm divisions. This role is pivotal in steering both operational and financial dimensions, with an emphasis on fostering growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and executing continuous improvement strategies. The Operations Manager will work closely with diverse teams and stakeholders throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment, training, and development of team members in accordance with company standards
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving operational excellence and growth
  • Evaluate market trends and business performance to inform strategic decisions
  • Monitor and report on financial metrics related to the construction sector
  • Coordinate with the service department for effective project transitions
  • Conduct regular business assessments and initiate corrective measures as necessary
  • Track key performance indicators across various departments
  • Plan for workforce requirements and strive to meet business objectives
  • Maintain vital relationships with customers and vendor partners
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • At least seven years of management experience within the Fire & Safety sector
  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven experience in resolving issues and managing customer escalations
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications
  • Strong business insight and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility with team members
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • NICET Certification
Compensation:
$120,000 - $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience
