Adjunct Instructor

We are seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach courses in Business Network Administration & Network Engineering Technology/PC Support & Administration at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in networking and IT support, with experience in teaching or industry experience in the subject area.
Responsibilities
The Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for delivering learning-centered instruction, establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning, and effectively planning and preparing for classes. They will also be responsible for providing clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus. Additionally, the Adjunct Instructor will provide interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting, and will complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments, and final exam assessments on a timely basis.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Networking, IT Support, or a related field, or an Associate's Degree and equivalent experience. They will also have at least 3 years industry or business experience in the teaching subject area, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act effectively as a member of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's Degree in Networking Business or a related field, previous teaching experience in an academic environment, and experience with online teaching and/or instruction in higher education are preferred. The successful candidate will also have experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences, and the ability to build or enhance proficiency in the use of diverse methods of classroom technology, and innovative instructional/academic support systems and programs.

Details
The position is part-time, with compensation at $660 per lecture hour for new adjuncts. The successful candidate will be required to work night or weekend hours as needed.
