Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations for WSTHOF Americas, a mid-sized consumer goods organization.
In this role, you will be tasked with preparing and reconciling the general ledger, as well as managing the annual audit process. You will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments and contribute to financial planning and analysis. This position is crucial for daily transactions and includes managing a team of two. As the Accounting Manager, you will also implement and enhance existing accounting policies and procedures while overseeing expenditure. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance / CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports, conduct monthly financial closings, perform account reconciliations, and manage year-end audits.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable - ensure timely and accurate cash application and processing of customer deductions. Monitor and enhance AR aging status.
- Manage Accounts Payable - ensure timely and accurate invoice payments with appropriate approvals. Ensure proper filings through third parties and for state sales use taxes.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic re-forecasts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in computer applications (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Capable of working independently and completing assignments within the framework of given instructions, established routines, and accepted practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated management experience.
- At least 3 years of general accounting experience in a similar setting.
