About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Child Life Specialist to join our team at Covenant Children's Hospital. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting children, teens, and their families in our pediatric setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide developmentally appropriate play and recreation activities to promote emotional and social well-being
  • Offer education and preparation for medical procedures to reduce anxiety and stress
  • Offer emotional support to children and their families during their healthcare journey
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a closely related field
  • Child life specific clinical training experience in a pediatric medical setting
  • Trained in child development principles and the impact of illness and hospitalization on children and families
  • National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience working with young children and adolescents in a healthcare setting
