Position Summary: We are seeking a proficient Foundry Equipment Project Engineer to take charge of and execute projects related to custom-designed vibrating machinery for foundries and heavy industrial sectors. In this role, you will collaborate with seasoned designers and sales professionals, utilizing your expertise in foundry processes and engineering to guarantee successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct design and cost assessments primarily for custom foundry machinery, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  • Develop technical specifications and create detailed proposals that encompass both technical and pricing elements.
  • Supervise and perform testing on materials supplied by clients, focusing on processes such as casting cooling, sand screening, casting orientation, and conveyance, either in our lab or at client sites.
  • Guide the creation of engineering drawings for equipment, ensuring both client approval and manufacturing accuracy, which may involve site visits for measurements and process evaluations.
  • Review equipment manuals that provide comprehensive operating instructions for foundry or industrial machinery, occasionally developing processing parameters for these manuals.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, addressing field issues as they arise, with occasional site visits required.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects, delegating tasks internally and externally.
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including internal departments, sales teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Ensure all documentation meets client specifications.
  • Assist in the startup of equipment, whether remotely or on-site.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, casting technology, and foundry processes.
  • At least 5 years of experience in foundry or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard fabrication methods and materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MathCAD; AutoCAD knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed, typically for 2-5 days.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
