As a pivotal member of the Fleet Management team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers dedicated to delivering scalable robotic systems.
Your role will involve leading the design and development of services that allocate and assign tasks to a fleet of autonomous vehicles, while also monitoring the status of resources linked to these fleets. Our software solutions are integral to the seamless integration of autonomous vehicles within the Amazon fulfillment ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement applications and infrastructure for robotics.
- Influence the strategic direction of the team and contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to refine design and implementation.
- Uphold high standards by engaging in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and establishing mechanisms for continuous improvement.
- Prototype and test concepts or features through simulations, emulators, and live robotic equipment.
- Engage directly with customers and partners to evaluate prototypes and integrate feedback.
- Mentor fellow engineering team members.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of systems
- Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team
- Strong foundation in algorithms and hands-on experience developing scalable systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Master's degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience with work allocation, autonomous path planning, or navigational algorithms
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience mentoring other engineers
- Understanding of cloud service development and design for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Proven ability to design, implement, and test in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
