Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a dynamic Systems Integration Engineer who will leverage technical proficiency and leadership in process engineering, electrical engineering, and systems maintenance to enhance rubber manufacturing processes and ensure operational excellence. This position demands a unique combination of technical capabilities encompassing process enhancement, electrical systems integration, hands-on maintenance, and cohesive systems architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  1. Evaluate current manufacturing workflows to pinpoint areas for efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
  2. Develop and execute process upgrades, integrating electrical systems and automation solutions.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to determine root causes of challenges, enhance process performance, and innovate new methodologies.
  4. Create and enforce process control strategies to guarantee consistent quality and performance of rubber products.
  5. Lead interdisciplinary teams in executing process enhancement initiatives, coordinating efforts across engineering, maintenance, and production sectors.
  6. Identify and enact process optimizations to boost productivity, lower expenses, and elevate product quality.
  7. Engage in hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems and processing equipment to ensure reliability and adherence to safety regulations.
  8. Diagnose intricate technical challenges and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  9. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to successfully meet project objectives.
  10. Remain informed on industry advancements and best practices to maintain competitiveness and effectiveness in rubber processing operations.
  11. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies in all engineering and maintenance endeavors.
  12. Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, system configurations, maintenance activities, and project outlines.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization, electrical system design, and maintenance within a manufacturing context.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of collaborating across teams and articulating technical information clearly.
  • Certification as a Master Electrician.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on system design and process improvement initiatives.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical literature, financial documents, and legal texts. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory bodies, or business community members. Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to formulate and scale equations, analyze data, utilize predictive modeling, and establish tolerances using mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical analysis, and the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
