We are in search of a seasoned security expert to enhance our Security Operations Center (SOC) team as a Senior Security Operations Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of proactively identifying and mitigating advanced threats and vulnerabilities within our digital landscape. Your proficiency in security technologies and incident management will be crucial in detecting and analyzing suspicious activities, thereby fortifying our security framework.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Scrutinize network traffic, system logs, and various security data sources to uncover potential indicators of compromise (IOCs) and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
  • Employ threat intelligence feeds and sophisticated analytical methods to pinpoint emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Document and escalate security incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts to provide expert guidance and support during incident response efforts.
  • Propose enhancements to security tools and processes to improve overall threat detection and prevention capabilities.
  • Stay informed on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities through ongoing education and engagement in security communities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security operations, threat hunting, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response triage and investigation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security tools and technologies, including SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Rapid7 InsightVM, Microsoft Sentinel, Cortex XDR), endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions (e.g., Proofpoint TRAP), and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong grasp of network security principles, operating systems, and malware analysis techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Required onsite presence for three days a week; two days remote.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python or PowerShell).
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., GCIH, OSCP, GCFA).
  • Familiarity with cloud security environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
