Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care to patients based on established NYU Langone Health Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
- Formulate the initial plan of care with the provider and collaborate with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
- Collect patient healthcare data systematically and analyze it to determine diagnoses.
- Identify expected outcomes and anticipate unexpected or adverse outcomes as individualized to the patient.
- Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
- Implement interventions identified in the plan of care.
- Evaluate the patient's progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.
- Educate the patient and family to facilitate and promote healthy adjustment to new or changed health patterns.
- Support the missions, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of the institution, Departments of Nursing, and service line.
- Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team and promote collegial relationships.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge and competence to fulfill responsibilities.
- Engage in self-assessment and participate in activities to promote own professional growth and development.
- Serve as a support and resource for nursing staff and students.
- Utilize resources to meet individual learning needs and promote professional development in clinical practice.
- Participate in center-based quality and performance improvement program consistent with service and departmental programs.
- Maintain an awareness of current evidence-based practices and use research data applicable to patient care.
- Participate in clinical inquiry and activities to foster an evidence-based practice.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and activities that promote patient, family/caregiver, physician, and staff satisfaction.
- Participate in coordination of practice activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is highly preferred; a Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing requires a minimum of one year experience in conjunction with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree required.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York licensure is required.
- BCLS and ACLS certification is also required.
- Emergency room or critical care nursing experience and membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred.
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills necessary.
- Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual and aura acuity to perform responsibilities needed.
- 3 years' of RN experience.
- ACLS certification.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $106,121,189.80 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
