- Manages the division's credit exposure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the company's risk management policies.
- Reports to the Corporate Chief Risk Officer, providing regular updates on the division's credit portfolio and risk management practices.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and internal resource for Corporate Banking Group lending transactions, providing guidance on credit policy and risk management.
- Partners with multiple Corporate Banking Group lines of business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity throughout the Credit/Underwriting process.
- Leads a divisional credit team in evaluating the overall creditworthiness of traditional credit-based and structured banking transactions in assigned industry verticals.
- Contributes to the development of credit policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the company's risk management framework.
- Serves as a trainer and mentor for new and junior Credit Officers, providing guidance on credit risk management and underwriting best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
- At least 15 years of experience in credit risk management, with a strong background in commercial and corporate lending.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed credit decisions.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of Credit Officers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed credit decisions.
