Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing ongoing support to the Credit Delivery credit origination and underwriting process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and finance, as well as experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, and commercial loan credit decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures, including procedure ownership, loan closing activities, file organization, and tickler management.
  2. Serve as a subject matter expert on Truist Wholesale Credit Delivery policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to credit package standards.
  3. Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Loan Operations, Compliance, Audit, and Technology teams to identify and resolve process-related risks and issues.
  4. Contribute to special projects, including audit/credit review remediations, and provide support to Portfolio Management teams on risk reviews and internal/external audits.
  5. Develop and deliver communication to the PM organization on credit process and ecosystem changes.
  6. Lead the implementation strategy for new processes and procedures, ensuring proper PM involvement and effective execution.
  7. Develop training to ensure teammates are prepared to adapt to credit process and ecosystem changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, commercial loan credit decision-making, and previous management experience.
  • Subject Matter Expert level understanding of accounting and finance, financial statement, and cash flow analysis.
  • Mastery level proficiency with MS Office Desktop applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, and commercial loan credit decision-making.
  • Management/Leadership experience in Commercial Banking portfolio management.
  • Mastery of Truist Bank operating systems, including the loan system and other Commercial applications.
