This role is responsible for providing ongoing support to the Credit Delivery credit origination and underwriting process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and finance, as well as experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, and commercial loan credit decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures, including procedure ownership, loan closing activities, file organization, and tickler management.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Truist Wholesale Credit Delivery policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to credit package standards.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Loan Operations, Compliance, Audit, and Technology teams to identify and resolve process-related risks and issues.
- Contribute to special projects, including audit/credit review remediations, and provide support to Portfolio Management teams on risk reviews and internal/external audits.
- Develop and deliver communication to the PM organization on credit process and ecosystem changes.
- Lead the implementation strategy for new processes and procedures, ensuring proper PM involvement and effective execution.
- Develop training to ensure teammates are prepared to adapt to credit process and ecosystem changes.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, commercial loan credit decision-making, and previous management experience.
- Subject Matter Expert level understanding of accounting and finance, financial statement, and cash flow analysis.
- Mastery level proficiency with MS Office Desktop applications.
- Years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, and commercial loan credit decision-making.
- Management/Leadership experience in Commercial Banking portfolio management.
- Mastery of Truist Bank operating systems, including the loan system and other Commercial applications.
