Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist II performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures, including general, OB-GYN, vascular, and breast exams, in a variety of settings and on patients of all ages. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and pathophysiology, as well as critical thinking skills to implement appropriate image techniques and ensure order accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology to implement appropriate image techniques using established protocols.
  • Ensure order accuracy when triaging and prioritizing patients.
  • Complete documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy or procedure.
  • Practice safety at all times, adhering to ALARA principles for proper radiation safety.
  • Adjust to changing or unusual circumstances and care for patients in a variety of settings.
  • Assist providers in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years clinical experience performing a variety of US procedures in a hospital setting.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in a minimum of two certifications.
  • RVT credential must be earned within 24 months of completing orientation.
  • BLS certification required.
