Position Overview

The AHEAD Security Specialty Solutions Engineer (SSE) plays a pivotal role in the realm of security technologies and solutions. As a recognized subject matter expert, the SSE is responsible for the design and sale of intricate security solutions, acting as a thought leader within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage actively with the AHEAD Security team and associated virtual teams.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the Solutions Engineering division, responsible for architecting and consulting on security solutions for AHEAD clients.
  • Develop skills and relationships across various sectors to enhance product, service, and consulting sales in the security domain.
  • Support sales teams by providing tailored advice, solutions, and proposals that align with customer technical and business needs.
  • Foster relationships with fellow Security SSE team members and leaders to meet sales objectives.
  • Strategize and conduct technical sales calls effectively.
  • Complete necessary pre-sales documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Assess sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and funding.
  • Articulate and market the design and value of proposed AHEAD security solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor entry-level team members to build a strong foundation within the team.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of security products, technologies, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SASE vendors is a significant advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of technical experience with security controls in areas such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NTA, NDR, NGAV, EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, DLP, and Penetration Testing.
  • Proven experience in architectural design that integrates solutions across multiple vendors.
  • 3 to 5 years of consulting experience, advising clients on technical solutions and participating in pre-sales activities.
  • Familiarity with major Public Cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technology concepts and assist others in understanding them.
  • Capability to evaluate new technologies and provide internal training.
  • Proficient in understanding customer needs and designing appropriate solutions.
  • Expertise in developing and presenting architectural recommendations and implementation services.
  • Experience with Vendor Configuration Tools.

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is between $270,000 and $300,000 annually, reflecting the On-Target Earnings (OTE) which includes base salary and any applicable target bonus. This range may vary based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
