Position Overview:

The AHEAD Security Specialty Solutions Engineer (SSE) plays a pivotal role in the realm of security technologies and solutions. Recognized as a subject matter expert, the SSE is responsible for the design and sale of intricate security solutions while serving as a thought leader within the organization. Collaborating closely with sales representatives, practice leaders, and fellow SSE team members, you will develop market strategies and assist in account planning for both existing and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively with the AHEAD Security team and related virtual teams.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the Solutions Engineering domain, focusing on designing and architecting security solutions for AHEAD clients.
  • Build industry credibility and relationships across various segments to enhance product, service, and consulting sales in the security sector.
  • Support sales teams by providing tailored advice, solutions, and proposals that align with customer technical and business needs.
  • Foster relationships with other Security SSE team members and leaders to meet sales objectives.
  • Strategize and execute technical sales engagements.
  • Quickly and accurately complete necessary pre-sales documentation, including configurations, pricing, and presentations.
  • Assess sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and decision-making processes.
  • Effectively present and communicate the design and value of proposed AHEAD security solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor entry-level team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of products, technologies, and industry trends in the security domain.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with any SASE vendor is a significant advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of technical experience with security controls, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NTA, NDR, NGAV, EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, DLP, and Penetration Testing.
  • Experience in architectural design that integrates solutions across multiple vendors.
  • 3 to 5 years of consulting experience, advising clients on technical solutions and participating in pre-sales activities.
  • Familiarity with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technology concepts and assist others in understanding them.
  • Capability to evaluate new technologies and provide internal training.
  • Strong skills in understanding customer needs, defining requirements, and designing solutions.
  • Expertise in vendor configuration tools.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • High technical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on quality and maximizing team output.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA.
  • Vendor-specific certifications like Palo Alto Cortex Professional.

Compensation: The compensation range for this role is between $270,000 and $300,000 annually, reflecting the On-Target Earnings (OTE) which includes base salary and applicable bonuses. This range may vary based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
