Position Overview

The AHEAD Security Specialty Solutions Engineer (SSE) is a pivotal role focused on security technologies and solutions. As a subject matter expert, the SSE is responsible for the design and sale of intricate security solutions and serves as a thought leader within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage actively with the AHEAD Security team and related virtual teams.
  • Provide thought leadership within the Solutions Engineering organization, designing and architecting security solutions for AHEAD clients.
  • Develop skills, relationships, and industry credibility to drive sales in the security domain.
  • Support sales teams by offering tailored advice, solutions, or proposals that meet customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Security SSE team members and partners to achieve sales objectives.
  • Strategize and conduct technical sales calls effectively.
  • Complete necessary pre-sales documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Assess sales opportunities based on customer technical needs and decision-making processes.
  • Present and articulate the design and value of proposed AHEAD security solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor entry-level team members to foster their development.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of security products and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SASE vendors is a significant advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of technical experience with security controls in areas such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NTA, NDR, NGAV, EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, DLP, and Penetration Testing.
  • Experience in designing architectures that integrate solutions across multiple vendors.
  • 3 to 5 years of consulting experience, advising clients on technical solutions and participating in pre-sales activities.
  • Familiarity with Public Cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Ability to quickly understand new technology concepts and assist others in grasping them.
  • Capability to evaluate new technologies and provide internal training.
  • Proficient in understanding customer needs and designing appropriate solutions.
  • Expertise in Vendor Configuration Tools.

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is between $270,000 and $300,000 annually, reflecting the On-Target Earnings (OTE) which includes base salary and any applicable target bonus. This range may vary based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
