About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Department Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to provide an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Management: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Coordination: Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Associate Development: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles to increase effectiveness.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, as well as organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
  • Communication and Feedback: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Requirements
  • Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
