We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at The Robert E. Morris Company. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Capital Equipment sales process by providing technical information and expertise to improve productivity of machine tool users.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure all needs are met from pre-sales to project completion.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and the product lines represented by our company.
- Support a broad range of tooling and machine accessory projects within a Capital equipment sales territory.
- Develop solutions for process optimization and manage related projects from concept to completion.
- Participate in continuous education meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with new products, processes, and technologies.
- Cultivate a sales territory to generate revenue when not supporting Capital machine projects.
- Be responsive to customers and Capital sales staff in resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Engineering Degree (or related field) preferred with 3+ years of applicable experience.
- Intermediate to sophisticated knowledge of CNC machine technology and applications with experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Deep-seated desire to win in a competitive marketplace.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to excel in a team environment as well as when working independently.
- Bring a strategic approach to all of your work and creativity for solving challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills – must be able to effectively present products and information to customers in one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to communicate professionally in oral and written exchanges.
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is a plus.
- Ability to manage occasional long-distance travel.
- Possess a valid US driving license and a clean driving record.
- A valid US Passport is a plus.
- Frequent travel throughout a regional sales territory is required.
- Public speaking and/or product presentation experience.
- CMTSE Certification.
- Project Management experience.
- Lean Manufacturing training/experience.
