CNC Machining Specialist

Become a vital member of our team at Montana Knife Company as a CNC Machining Specialist, where your skills in precision machining, programming, and quality assurance will play a crucial role in our innovative operations. We seek a proficient individual who has extensive experience in CNC programming and machining to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAM software to program CNC milling machines for 2, 3, and 4 axis toolpaths
- Develop workholding and fixturing solutions for both prototypes and production runs
- Set up and operate CNC machinery for both prototyping and production tasks
- Conduct quality inspections to verify that components meet established specifications
- Identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes to boost efficiency
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to refine machining techniques
- Assist in implementing preventative maintenance schedules for CNC machinery
- Oversee multiple projects in prototyping and production
- Communicate effectively regarding the status of projects
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining and workholding design
- Expertise in CAM programming tools such as Fusion, SolidCAM, and Mastercam
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and perform inspections for precision
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with programming techniques involving macros and subprograms
- Experience with 5-axis machining processes
- Knowledge of working with diverse materials, including tool steels and titanium
- Experience in automation within a CNC manufacturing setting
