Position Overview

The Senior Military Science Educator will effectively deliver instruction in both classroom and field training environments, utilizing standardized curricula and innovative workshops. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated instructional capabilities in military training exercises and the ability to instruct in outdoor settings for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver military science education and training in alignment with Cadet Command's program of instruction, utilizing various teaching methods and media to meet learning objectives.
  • Provide expert training in Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, small unit tactics, and physical fitness, while coaching and preparing Cadet teams for competitive events.
  • Participate in annual Cadet Summer Training, engaging in comprehensive training activities.
  • Facilitate faculty development instruction as specified in contractual agreements.
  • Transport ROTC personnel and materials as needed for training exercises and events, adhering to safety and operational protocols.
Work Environment

This role primarily involves indoor classroom instruction, with opportunities for outdoor and offsite training activities. Participation in recruiting events may also require travel.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate physical activities as necessary, and travel as required for assigned events.

Qualifications
  • Must have served as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army, with a minimum of six years of prior military experience.
  • Experience must be current and concluded with an honorable discharge or retirement.
  • Thorough knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, and training evaluation processes is essential.
  • Proficiency in basic soldier skills and safety protocols related to military training is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, are necessary.
  • Ability to teach effectively in both classroom and field settings is critical.
