Position Summary:

Commonwealth Senior Living is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to fill the role of LPN Supervisor, also known as the Assistant Resident Care Director.

The Assistant Resident Care Director is responsible for overseeing the care of our residents within our communities, working closely under the guidance of the Resident Care Director.

The primary goal of this position is to administer and document medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate records of all care provided to residents.

The ideal candidate will also deliver direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants who work with residents.

This role is crucial in managing team schedules, and candidates must embody a compassionate spirit and a commitment to serving while monitoring residents' comfort and addressing their physical and emotional needs.

As an Assistant Resident Care Director, there are opportunities for career advancement within our communities, paving the way for a long-term career in the senior living sector.

Team members are encouraged to pursue advanced nursing degrees, with Commonwealth Senior Living offering support for educational expenses and training. There is potential for career progression into the Resident Care Director position, with many of our Executive Directors having started as ARCDs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a state-approved practical nursing program; LPN required.
  • Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or proof of application for licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of successful nursing experience.
  • Experience in medication administration and in geriatric, psychiatric, or rehabilitation nursing is preferred.
  • Exceptional nursing and leadership abilities.
  • Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Passionate about delivering quality care, having fun, and celebrating achievements.
  • Confident communicator and attentive listener.
