Position Overview:

Commonwealth Senior Living is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to fill the role of Team Leader in our resident care department. The LPN Team Leader, also known as the Assistant Resident Care Director, plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents across various communities, under the guidance of the Resident Care Director. The primary responsibility of this position includes administering and documenting medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, while meticulously recording all care provided to residents.

The ideal candidate will also deliver direct nursing care and oversee the clinical activities of nursing assistants who work closely with residents. This role is essential in scheduling team members, who must embody a compassionate spirit and a commitment to serving, while attentively monitoring residents' comfort and addressing their physical and emotional needs.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate of a state-approved practical nursing program; LPN certification required.
  • Possess a current license in Virginia or provide proof of application for licensure.
  • A minimum of one year of successful nursing experience.
  • Experience in medication administration and familiarity with geriatric, psychiatric, or rehabilitation nursing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated exceptional nursing and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

  • Confidence to voice opinions and concerns.
