Manufacturing Process Technician

**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced SMT Equipment Specialist to join our team at Whitridge Associates in New Haven, CT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to ensure optimal performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Install and configure SMT equipment, including printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Apply knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards for class 1–3 manufacturing.
- Write comprehensive maintenance and troubleshooting reports.
- Conduct equipment audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and quality.
**Requirements:**
- Associate's, B.A., or B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong technical understanding of machinery functions, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Experience in stencil design using Gerber files, CAD, and other design tools.
- Hands-on experience with rework processes, including hot air, BGA repair, wash/PCA cleaning, and soldering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Demonstrated positive customer service attitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid technical background in circuit card and box build assemblies.
**Compensation:** The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
