Advanced Manufacturing Specialist

NEINFAME focuses on developing critical professional skills while attending classes and earning an associate degree with education partner, Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne. Students will attend Ivy Tech classes two days a week and work onsite at Steel Dynamics three days a week. This two-year program is designed to prepare students for full-time employment as an Advanced Manufacturing Technician.
Responsibilities
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety principles and practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Learn the role of Maintenance Technician and all duties associated with it.
- Assist in producing a quality product for customers by maintaining well-operating equipment.
- Ensure all environmental protocols are followed and executed.
- Attend classes and maintain successful progress toward Associate's Degree.
- Familiarize and learn about various aspects of the operation.
- Attend and lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must obtain a high school diploma by June of 2024.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Safety awareness.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
- Reliable transportation.
