Opportunity Overview

Our Corporate Accounting division is seeking to appoint a skilled Accounting Manager to lead our team. This position is responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting operations of the organization and will interact with various internal departments, including Portfolio & Asset Management, Client Service & Marketing, as well as external partners. Our team operates in a hybrid work model, with a presence in the office several days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the corporate accounting operations while supervising and mentoring a team of three accounting professionals.
  • Generate financial reports for department heads, senior management, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee daily global accounting activities, including accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and expense reimbursements, providing training as necessary.
  • Manage the monthly closing process and prepare global financial consolidations.
  • Draft annual financial statements and oversee the global corporate audit processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to ensure timely and relevant information is communicated to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with third-party accounting service providers both domestically and internationally.
  • Conduct financial analyses to furnish management with data-driven insights and recommendations for business strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare or review various regulatory filings at both domestic and international levels.
  • Work with tax professionals to facilitate the preparation of annual tax documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for accounting systems and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Assist the Controller with special projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate accounting setting.
  • Experience in a global corporate environment is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • CPA or CA certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in public accounting or the real estate sector is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Concur is beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, effectively navigate challenges, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Proven experience in leading a team with a strong focus on client service delivery.
  • Demonstrated success in managing all aspects of the accounting function.
