ROLE SUMMARY:


The Investment Banking Analyst I is responsible for conducting a variety of intricate analytical tasks, valuation assessments, and financial modeling to support the initiation and execution of investment banking projects.

This role demands a high level of quantitative aptitude, analytical thinking, and communication proficiency, along with the capacity to thrive in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.

The analyst will synthesize extensive data to assist senior team members in crafting innovative solutions for clients. Effective communication and collaboration with team members and bank partners are essential.

Additionally, the analyst will provide administrative assistance to the investment banking division, which includes updating marketing materials, presentation formats, and tracking project pipelines, among other critical functions.

It is vital to maintain accountability for risk management by openly sharing insights and concerns, while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Commitment to ethical practices is paramount, ensuring that actions foster a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.

Within the framework of the Bank's risk management strategy, the analyst will achieve results by consistently identifying, evaluating, managing, and reporting various types of risks.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete the training program and obtain Series 79 and Series 63 Licenses in accordance with policy guidelines.
Understand the principles of accounting, corporate finance, and capital markets to support transaction processes.
Conduct detailed valuation analyses utilizing various methodologies, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables, and transaction comparables.
Develop foundational financial models to assess performance and credit trends in support of advisory and capital raising activities.

Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a disciplined approach to ensure the production of accurate and well-formatted work consistently.

Assist in the creation of high-quality presentation materials for client meetings and internal approvals, covering topics such as strategic options, capital market activities, and general corporate finance.

Gain exposure to a comprehensive range of capital market solutions and their application to specific client needs and evolving market conditions.

Support the origination and execution of investment banking transactions, including M&A advisory and debt and equity offerings.

Effectively manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, with guidance from Associates and senior bankers.

Maintain clear communication with team members regarding project status and prioritization.
Foster strong working relationships with peers and senior professionals across Capital Markets and the broader organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree is essential; a degree in Finance or Accounting with a GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
Exhibit a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence while maintaining professionalism.
Ability to excel in both collaborative and independent work environments.
Exceptional presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical capabilities and a solid understanding of financial modeling.
Possession of Series 79 and Series 63 licenses is required (to be obtained within six months of employment).
A willingness to commit to a two-year program is expected.
