Position Overview:
As a key member of Lockheed Martin, the Weapons Integration Discipline Engineer plays a vital role in the technical planning and integration of weapon systems into comprehensive test protocols. This position involves executing tests on aircraft systems, utilizing data from mission control or conducting thorough post-test evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical planning and system integration for F-35 Mission Systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Develop and oversee system-level testing, employing various analytical tools to assess system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Transform customer or product testing requirements into structured test plans, ensuring a logical and systematic approach.

Qualifications:
A level 2 engineer typically possesses approximately 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields.

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with no prior experience.
  • Experience in testing aircraft or weapon systems.

Preferred Skills:
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Software, and Integration/Test teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and off-shifts as necessary.

Security Clearance Requirement:
This role necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, with a standard work schedule of 4x10 hours, allowing for three days off each week.
