Position Overview:
At Lockheed Martin, we are dedicated to innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering.


The Weapons Integration Discipline Engineer plays a crucial role in the technical planning and integration of weapon systems into comprehensive test plans. This position involves executing tests at various locations, including aircraft and mission control rooms, utilizing telemetered data and conducting post-test analyses.

The engineer will be responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, as well as conducting supportability and effectiveness analyses for the F-35 Mission Systems. This includes ensuring a logical and systematic transformation of customer or product test requirements into actionable test plans. The role also encompasses overseeing and executing system-level tests while analyzing system performance through diverse tools and methodologies to troubleshoot on-aircraft systems.


Qualifications:


A level 2 employee typically possesses around 5 years of professional experience.


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience; or a Master's degree in a related discipline with no prior experience.
  • Experience in testing aircraft or weapon systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Software, and Integration/Test Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Interim Secret clearance with the potential to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, odd shifts, and weekends as necessary.
Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.
