Position Summary

We are seeking a Fee for Service Speech Language Pathologist to join our team, serving clients in various programs. Compensation for this role is set at $45 for a 30-minute session or $90 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist will:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate speech and language capabilities and establish rehabilitation plans in accordance with physician directives.
  • Regularly reassess clients' speech and language progress to adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring compliance with clinic policies.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for individuals facing speech and language challenges, utilizing appropriate devices and techniques to enhance communication abilities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, collaborating with Treatment Coordinators to ensure:
    • Submission of treatment plans for review and approval.
    • Timely evaluations within established guidelines.
    • Accurate time sheets and documentation for each session.
    • Regular updates on treatment cases.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with OPWDD.
  • Current New York State licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Completion of OSHA and other mandated training as required by state regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capacity to address inquiries from clients and regulatory bodies effectively.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and sensitivity to organizational culture.
  • A commitment to quality care for underserved populations.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
