Pharmacy Operations Associate

Thrifty White Pharmacy is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Operations Associate to join our team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently managing sales transactions and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Pharmacy Operations Associate plays a crucial role in the accurate packaging and distribution of prescription orders, ensuring that all processes meet the highest quality standards. This position supports various operational areas, including production, patient care, and local distribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently package prescription orders while maintaining accuracy.
  • Receive and inspect products in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare and process orders for mail delivery.
  • Handle refrigerated items following standard procedures.
  • Perform startup and shutdown tasks as required.
  • Generate and manage daily reports.
  • Organize orders in storage or on delivery pallets using appropriate equipment.
  • Ensure secure packaging for safe shipping.
  • Address equipment malfunctions to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Load and unload shipments in designated areas.
  • Complete daily objectives while adhering to standard practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Exercise safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations through ongoing training.
  • Timely disposal of waste materials.
  • Track and resolve missing or lost shipments.
  • Fulfill all assigned duties within specified timeframes.
  • Participate in additional projects and initiatives as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Basic computer skills, including navigation and typing.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Problem-solving skills and dependability.
  • Ability to operate a forklift after receiving training.
  • Availability for various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a clear record.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
  • One late-night shift per week.
  • Every seventh Sunday shift.
  • Flexible scheduling options available for certain shifts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements for this position include standing for extended periods, using hands and fingers for tasks, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
