Senior Business Development Manager

At SmartHire Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maximize sales of our services in the NYC area to existing clients. Our services include Document Storage, Electronic Document Management Solutions, Data Storage, Pathology Storage, and Shredding.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience and be driven to succeed and excel in an entrepreneurial atmosphere. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and upselling to assigned client base
- Qualifying, researching, tracking, and developing leads into viable opportunities
- Effectively articulating the value proposition to multiple organizational levels
- Developing strong business cases, proposals, and presentations for sales opportunities
- Negotiating the terms of agreements and closing sales
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of the industry, trends, technology, competitive offerings, and customer requirements, and providing informed feedback to the company
- Participating in professional organizations (sales, marketing, industry associations)
Key qualifications include:
- Minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience
- Driven to succeed and excel, with a passion and enthusiasm for the business
- Excels in an entrepreneurial atmosphere with constant change
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Exceptional work ethic
- Independent thinker
- Technical awareness – can confidently converse with C-level contacts
- Strong relationship building skills
- Proven record of exceeding quota in previous positions
- Demonstrated ability to win competitive account sales
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
