Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team As a key member of our access team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient navigation through our healthcare services. Key Responsibilities:
* Acts as a mentor to new and existing registration staff
* Works closely with supervisors to orient and train new staff on department policies, procedures, and workflow
* Schedules appointments for all patients as requested by the patient or provider
* Sets up recalls for returning patients as instructed by the provider
* Answers the telephone in a polite and courteous manner, identifying the department and introducing oneself
* Collaborates with the clinical team to assist patients who walk-in with symptoms, obtaining relevant information to forward to the clinical team
* Manages incoming and outgoing inbox messages
* Creates telephone encounters for patients with non-urgent concerns requiring a call from someone in the clinical team
* Scrubs the schedule for outstanding arrived appointments, completing them through the checkout process
* Utilizes Dental/Optical software according to department protocols
* Verifies insurance in advance and same day

Requirements:
* At least two years of experience working in healthcare and/or with MassHealth insurances, with a focus on creating an excellent patient experience
* High school diploma or G.E.D. required
* Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) required
* Maintain annual CAC certification

Salary Range: $19.55 - $29.33 per hour, based on experience.
