Job Title: NDT Inspector II

At Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled NDT Inspector II to join our team. As a key support to the Quality Assurance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with customer and government contractual requirements related to NDT.

Job Summary:

The NDT Inspector II will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and reviewing procurement and contractual documents. You will interface with customer representatives for relevant quality/technical issues, including Statements of Work, Specifications, Quality Plans, and other relevant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain procurement and contractual documents related to NDT
  • Interface with customer representatives for quality/technical issues
  • Review and analyze quality data using statistical methods to drive process and design improvements
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure NDT activities meet the highest standards of quality and compliance
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent in vocational and US military schools
  • ASNT NDT certification with a non-destructive testing background
  • Five to ten years of experience as an NDT QA Inspector
  • Certifications: PLC, WAF, VT II, and PT II
  • Prior experience in performing Quality Assurance support tasks associated with mechanical and structural/piping/electrical repair and upgrades and installation of electronic systems on US Navy Ships
  • Previous hands-on experience with shipboard electrical/structural installation, including cable, connectors, power modifications, and structural modification
  • Experience with JFMM, NAVSEA Standard Items, NAVSSES Series Installation documentation, WAF/TUMS
  • Understanding of shipboard/shipyard environment
  • Five years of experience with US NAVY ships Structural, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment, including shipboard electric, power generation and transmission equipment
  • Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), cableway, fiber optics, integrated network systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must have experience in evaluation of subcontractors and vendors assessing they meet quality assurance requirements
  • Capable of writing and interpreting procedures and standards
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in leading small installation teams
Security Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installations
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel, less than 10%
Physical Requirements:
  • Performs physical inspections and writes procedures/standards for Quality Control
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
