**Job Summary:**
The Service Advisor is the central point of contact for all automotive service and repair matters, serving as the liaison between customers and technicians. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and a customer-centric approach to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Service: Coordinate service appointments for customers, either in-person or over the phone, to ensure prompt and accurate diagnosis of any issues.
- Repair Management: Follow up on repair status to ensure vehicles are ready on time, inform customers of any delays, and obtain authorization for revised repair estimates.
- Customer Communication: Make repair recommendations, manage customer expectations, and ensure all completed repairs undergo quality control and/or a road test.
- Technical Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of vehicle operation, warranties, campaigns, and other service information, such as state lemon laws and Technical Service Bulletins (TSB).
- Service Level Targets: Ensure all service level targets are met or exceeded.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Safety and Customer Service: Comply with and enforce all safety policies and procedures, and provide a pleasant, informative, and professional experience for customers.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid and unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
- Skills: Professional and dependable, safety and customer service oriented, basic computer and internet skills, outstanding communication skills, and professional appearance and work ethic.
