This position reports to

Maintenance Team Leader

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting general maintenance personnel with various repairs
• Setting up, testing, diagnosing issues, and repairing complex machinery
• Utilizing electronic testing equipment necessary for diagnosing and maintaining each system
• Working with schematics, drawings, and other written or verbal instructions while maintaining accurate records
• Keeping the workplace and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized state
• Handling hazardous waste as required
• Performing pipefitting and plumbing tasks across various systems including water, steam, and air
• Conducting repairs on compressed air and electrical distribution systems
• Executing welding tasks for product lines
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Upholding high standards for safety and cleanliness while ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations
• Promptly escalating health, safety, environmental, and security concerns
• Adhering to all safety policies, guidelines, and expectations during daily operations

Qualifications for the role:
  • Candidates must possess work authorization allowing them to work for ABB in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two-year technical associate degree or equivalent coursework (focused on electronics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and maintenance) or a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
  • Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for electronic systems
  • Capability to isolate and repair defective components in malfunctioning NC and hydraulic systems (e.g., hydraulic valves, actuators, cylinders, PC cards to chip level) to restore system functionality with minimal delay
  • Experience with EHS or safety-related issues in maintenance contexts
  • Prior experience in electrical wiring (24 to 460 volts) and hydraulic systems, including machine repair experience
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., tow truck, pallet jack, forklift)
