Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at United Parcel Service Inc. as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel, gasoline, and alternative technology vehicles.
  • Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers to troubleshoot and repair vehicles.
Requirements
  • Active driver's license issued by the state.
  • Meet D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
  • Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, and Tuesday through Saturday schedules.
  • Ability to possess the required hand tools to perform the applicable job assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers.
  • Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - REQUIRED.
  • Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis.
  • Available to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs.
