About the Role

The Director of Radiology Services is a key leadership position at Shasta Regional Medical Center, responsible for overseeing the department's activities and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the radiology department, ensuring effective management of resources and personnel.
  • Coordinate department activities to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal resource allocation.
  • Monitor departmental indicators and performance improvement activities, reporting on progress as directed.
  • Perform radiology technician duties as needed to support the department's operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology from an AMA-accredited program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Specialized training in CT or MRI.
  • Supervisory experience in medical imaging functions.
  • Previous experience as a radiology technologist or in related modalities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current state licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Fluoroscopy permit from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
