About the Role

The Director of Radiology Services is a key leadership position at Shasta Regional Medical Center, responsible for overseeing the department's operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the radiology department, aligning with the hospital's goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and coordinate department activities, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for patients and staff.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on departmental indicators and performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Perform radiology technician duties as needed to support the department's operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology from an AMA-accredited program; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Specialized training in CT or MRI is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience in medical imaging functions is essential.
  • Previous experience as a radiology technologist or in related modalities is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current state licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Fluoroscopy permit by CDPH are required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory standards is necessary.
