Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team at Clark Public Utilities. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that support our organization's applications and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring peak performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Implement and manage access controls, user accounts, and permissions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business needs and integrate with existing systems.
  • Provide input and recommendations on the integration of cloud database platforms and Database DevOps practices to support business goals.
  • Document database configurations, policies, and procedures for the team and organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 6 years of experience in a database administrator role.
  • Proficient in database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret, assess, and integrate complex data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Competitive salary range: $95,761 - $116,199 - $136,639.
