Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering respiratory care services to patients with a range of respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Maintain accurate department and hospital records, entering relevant information into the hospital computer system.
  • Perform procedures with empathy and care for patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive respiratory care services.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
