Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and delivering respiratory therapy services in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to patients, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures to assess patient respiratory function and develop treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation and adjust therapy as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
