Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Representative to join our team at Kaneka Americas Holding. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Marketing Objectives: Develops yearly marketing objectives to establish sales goals and targets.
  • Travel and Sales Calls: Travels up to 50% of the time to make sales calls and attend trade shows to effectively reach or exceed sales targets.
  • Business Analysis: Analyzes the territory/market's potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization.
  • Reporting and Communication: Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Modifier-Pricing Strategies: Assists the Business Development Manager with modifier-pricing strategies for company products to ensure profitability.
  • Customer Complaint Resolution: Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Sales Strategies: Provides sales strategies to other sales/marketing staff to ensure overall plan effectiveness is equal to or better than competitors.
  • Sales Results and Budget Control: Ensures effective control of sales results and corrective action takes place within designated budgets.
  • Competitive Activity Reporting: Reports to the Business Development Manager changes in sales conditions or significant competitive activity that could impact the company.
  • Technology Partnerships: Works together with Technical Service and R&D to forge technology partnerships with key customers.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Demonstrates emotional empathy, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, flexibility/adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of sales experience in a business-to-business environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
