About this position:

Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Operations is on the lookout for a Senior Operations Leader. This role will oversee various processes within the Platform Support team, including the evaluation and approval of daily and monthly oversight reports as well as Self Assurance activities identified by our risk and control partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and cultivate teams of individual contributors and managers handling operations with moderate complexity and risk.
  • Collaborate with senior management to formulate and implement business strategies.
  • Identify and propose enhancements for process efficiency and risk management within the Operations sector.
  • Design and execute strategies for the business unit.
  • Provide specialized knowledge for technical, operational, and processing functions relevant to the business unit.
  • Determine the appropriate strategies and actions for the Operations management team to achieve moderate to high-risk objectives.
  • Interpret and establish policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity across various business lines or functional areas.
  • Engage and influence professionals at all levels, including senior managers.
  • Guide the team towards achieving set objectives.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers related to the function or impacted by its outcomes.
  • Oversee the allocation of personnel and financial resources for Operations.
  • Foster a culture of talent development to align with business goals and strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Change Process Orientation (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Demonstrated background in Risk Management, including Corrective Actions and Documentation.
Job Expectations:
  • Registration for FINRA Series 99 must be completed within a specified timeframe if not available for transfer upon hire.
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this role.
  • Manage a large-scale operation with multiple teams and locations, taking a leadership role in the area or function.
  • Effectively lead subordinate managers and professional teams, driving change and establishing future models.
  • Provide supervisory oversight for all teams.
  • Accountable for the financial and operational performance of teams.
  • Oversee financial and client risk and its impact on the group and organization.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for technical, operational, and/or processing functions that affect other groups or activities.
  • Establish and implement departmental and supervisory procedures and controls.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives that shape the direction of Operations.
  • Work closely with both internal and external customers to fulfill their service and processing needs.
