Financial Operations and Payroll Analyst

Position Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Financial Operations and Payroll Analyst to enhance our finance department. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial management, expertise in ADP payroll systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This position is critical for maintaining precise financial documentation and effective payroll management.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and oversee financial documentation, including ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the closing processes at month-end and year-end.
- Produce financial reports and statements to aid management in strategic decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable financial regulations.
- Payroll Administration:
- Manage payroll functions utilizing ADP software, ensuring prompt and precise payroll processing.
- Maintain payroll documentation, including employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Data Analysis and Excel Expertise:
- Employ advanced Excel capabilities to create, manage, and analyze financial data.
- Develop intricate spreadsheets to monitor and report on financial metrics.
- Automate data processes and design macros to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management and payroll administration.
- Proficiency in ADP payroll software is essential.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong grasp of financial principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Experience with additional accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Prior experience in a comparable role.
