About the Job

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the technical review and execution of the core CHIPS post-award review processes, including disbursement requests and routine recipient reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial and commercial assessments of large-scale semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain projects
  • Prepare post-award assessment briefings and disbursement recommendations for CHIPS Program Office leadership
  • Contribute to program working groups to develop semiconductor industry investment theses and support program policy development
  • Participate in routine engagement with counterparts at semiconductor companies to gather information and understand project's strategic value
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Males born after must be registered for Selective Service
  • Suitable for Federal employment
  • Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure, Form OGE-450
Qualifications
  • Basic Requirements:
  • Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position
  • OR Experience: Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience such as performing financial analysis and evaluation work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of corporate finance and any specialized fields of finance required
