About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Design Engineer to join our team at Diversified. As a Sales Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in collaborating with Account Executives to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process for various opportunity types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to determine and understand customer technology and business requirements.
  • Attend in-person and virtual discovery meetings to identify customer technology and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective lines of communication with Account Executives and customers.
  • Validate solutions for standard RFP/RFQ and Consultant Design-Bid-Build opportunities.
  • Review RFPs in detail and identify areas of concern for review by Account Executive or Director of Sales Engineering.
  • Submit technical RFIs during the bid process as needed.
  • Provide consistent quality deliverables to Account Executives to be included in proposals.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in audiovisual systems design.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of design experience in the AV industry.
  • IT/Networking certifications or training preferred.
  • Clear understanding of the project phases (Programming, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Contract Administration).
  • Clear understanding of the construction process, installation, integration, and commissioning of audiovisual systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AV technology, equipment, facilities, and systems used for Corporate Clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter, with a positive outlook.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, including grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Experience with Performance Venue Systems, familiar with digital mixing consoles, video switchers, cameras, and lighting systems.
  • Experience with Broadcasting Systems like those found in news, houses of worship, distance learning, etc., familiar with high-resolution encoders, SMPTE 2110, NDI, broadcast-grade cameras, and content playout techniques.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

Min Hiring Rate: $90,000.00
Max Hiring Rate: $125,000.00
