Cybersecurity Strategist for Federal Markets

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead our efforts in assisting the US Department of Defense mobilize an army of elite hackers to outpace threat actors and secure national defense infrastructure. As a Cybersecurity Strategist, you will be instrumental in shaping the nation's cyber defense strategy and contributing to safeguarding critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Spearhead and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue goals within Department of Defense offices, directorates, and agencies.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close, for large, complex deals.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders across federal agencies, building long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and technical teams.
- Work closely with federal systems integrators, VARs, and distributors to expand our reach within federal civilian agencies.
- Lead the pursuit of major sales opportunities within the Department of Defense, including responding to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product, customer success, and sales engineering teams.
- Stay informed on key industry trends and government policies affecting cybersecurity in the federal space.
- Leverage GSA, SEWP, and other federal contract vehicles to streamline the sales process.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in public sector sales, with a proven track record of success within the DOD.
- Strong relationship-building skills with federal civilian agency decision-makers.
- Experience working with channel partners and direct engagement with federal agencies.
- Deep understanding of federal procurement processes and contract vehicles.
- Proven success in managing long, complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A keen interest in cybersecurity and a commitment to making an impact in the public sector.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
The estimated salary range for this position is: $133,000 - $170,000 per annum. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
