Position Overview:
Genesis10 is in search of a Software Asset Management (SAM) Expert to support our client within the Energy and Utilities sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective software utilization and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee software license management to ensure adherence to policies and agreements.
  • Design and implement SAM tools and technologies, preferably utilizing Flexera, to facilitate software lifecycle management.
  • Conduct audits and enhance software license data management to guarantee effective tracking.
  • Analyze software lifecycle management processes and propose improvements.
  • Generate and refine reports and dashboards to provide insights on software ROI and lifecycle management.
  • Assist in training and guiding team members on software licensing processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Governance during software licensing contract negotiations.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Statistics, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Software Asset Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage large datasets.
  • Proficient in Flexera products and familiar with various Tier 1 vendor license models.
  • Ability to create Effective License Positions using SAM tools.
  • Experience with software audits and compliance.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA for managing software requests and installations.
  • Experience with software procurement and vendor management.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Certification in Software Asset Management.

Measures of Success:
Success in this role will be demonstrated through effective collaboration with internal and external partners, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining the company’s software licensing integrity.
