Clinical Veterinarian Job Description

SciTech Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Clinical Veterinarian to ensure the health and well-being of research animals in a biomedical research setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide veterinary care, surgical support, and preventive medicine services for various animal species.
  • Develop and implement animal care protocols and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and AAALAC accreditation.
  • Collaborate with staff to provide training on veterinary diagnostics, techniques, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of animal health data and case materials.
  • Participate in internal and external veterinary or animal welfare inspections and quality assurance audits.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and completion of a Laboratory Animal Residency program.
  • Eligibility for Diplomate, American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM) certification.
  • Experience in animal biomedical research and knowledge of Federal, state, and National Institutes of Health (NIH) regulations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
